What is Vaikasmieste.lt and who is it for?
Vaikasmieste was created by a young family who, after welcoming their first child, noticed how hard it can be to find a comfortable and private place to change a diaper or feed a baby. We want to plan outings - both in our own city and elsewhere - easily, and know in advance where we can take care of things if needed. This platform is for parents like us who want to know ahead of time where they can comfortably change diapers or feed their child without extra stress during an outing.
The goal of the platform is to make planning outings easier for parents by providing information about nearly 200 accessible diaper-changing spots and parent & baby rooms across Lithuania. The platform is free to use, but we invite you to buy us a virtual cup of coffee - this helps us keep the platform running.
You can browse all changing locations in Lithuania. If you want, allow the platform to access your location - this will help you find parent & baby rooms near you even faster. You can also visit pages for Lithuania’s three largest cities: Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipėda.

How we check places
- Parents suggest places through the suggestion form, or we find them ourselves – on forums, social media and venues' own websites.
- We review every suggested place before publishing it on the map.
- If a place has changed or closed, visitors can report it right from the place's card.
- All numbers in this section are counted automatically from the map data.

How did we collect 364 places across Lithuania?
We selected the first ~140 locations ourselves by searching for information in forums and on social media, as well as on the websites of shopping malls, restaurants, gas stations, and other venues. The rest were suggested by visitors of our platform via the dedicated new location suggestion form. We review suggested places ourselves and, if the information is correct, we add the location to the map.
We invite you to contribute not only by suggesting new places, but also by leaving helpful comments - you can do this by clicking on any location on the map.
Important: all locations marked on the map are accessible, but access may be restricted by venue rules. Before using them, we always recommend asking staff. If you are a venue listed on our map and would like to be removed, please contact us.
If you have questions, suggestions, or want to get in touch, you can do so via the contact form and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Thank you for using Vaikasmieste!
